After life care…with a personal and sensitive touch

AChapel_edited

William L. Kahn, a trusted member of The Weil Funeral Home for 30+ years, has taken over the legacy that has been run by the Weil Family for over 100 years.

After working 24/7 for more than 30 years, owner Robert A. Weil decided that it was  time to sell. It is now called the Weil-Kahn Funeral Home

Bob Weil stated…“Bill’s father (Sylvan) worked with my father and then with me. When he retired Bill came to work here and has worked with me for 30+ years. And I can’t think of anybody more qualified and trustworthy  to take over the business than Bill. He’s like a family member.”

Kahn was eager to take over the funeral home, as he and Weil have talked about the transition for years.

“I’ve been in the business for many years and was grateful  for the opportunity to purchase this historic institution!” Kahn said. “I love my job. I enjoy helping the Greater Cincinnati community, and this is just the normal progression.  I’m the second generation of my family and embrace the opportunity to continue the legacy.

With the sale, the new name is now Weil Kahn Funeral Home, located at 8350 Cornell Rd. in Symmes Township, just north of I-275 at Montgomery Road across from Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Ben Lefton, a licensed funeral director, joined Weil in 2016. Becci Jahn , a recent graduate of the University of Cincinnati is an Apprentice Funeral Director and will be licensed within 2 years.

Weil Kahn Funeral Home has seen many changes. The three biggest have been computerization, personalization and pre-arranging and pre-paying of funeral expenses.  Also, Weil Kahn offers “Eco-Friendly Green Funerals for those who are interested in these services when taking care of loved ones….this means:  no embalming, burial in a shroud, all wood caskets with no metal.

“It’s my privilege and honor to take care of the Greater Cincinnati community in their time of need, and  hope to continue  for many years to come.”  William L.  Kahn, The Weil Kahn Funeral Home.

Cincinnati Cyclones: Fun for everyone (including the kids) at Heritage Bank Center!

Cyclones vs Kalamazoo book photos 11-27-19 (1 of 1)-98

When you think of sports in Cincinnati, you think the Reds, the Bengals, even the UC Bearcats.  But did you know we have a hockey team too?  Our Cincinnati Cyclones are a top-notch team and a game is the perfect evening out for the whole family!

Since 1990, the Cincinnati Cyclones have been playing hockey all over the country and in Canada; they are the AA team of the National Predators. Eighteen of their players have gone on to play for the NHL, which makes our Cyclones a hotbed of talent that’s exciting to watch.

Coming to a game at the Heritage Bank Center is more than just a hockey experience: it’s the complete package of great fun, great food and great times.  There’s music, promotions and fun half-time activities (think hamster balls and sumo suits!), so even if you aren’t a hockey fan, there’s plenty to enjoy.  Games always have a fun theme, such as Superheroes, Star Wars and Nickelodeon Character nights, and promotions include $1 beer night, $1 hot dog night, kids eat free and more.  Special fundraising nights are featured as well, along with Military Appreciation Nights. There are also cancer awareness nights that mix philanthropy and fun. The atmosphere at a Cyclones game is always charged up with excitement and exuberance.

On February 1, the Cyclones will present the Frozen 5K &10K, a unique winter race that takes you on a course along the Banks of the Ohio River and through Cincinnati’s Transit Center underneath Second Street! Join Twister, Puckchop, and thousands of other brave souls as we achieve our New Years resolutions and support the Cincinnati Cyclones Foundation in the process!

A Cyclones game is also a great place to celebrate birthdays!  Check out their package options at www.cycloneshockey.com.

When you want more than just a sports experience on a night out – when you’re looking for sports, fun, music, food and an atmosphere of excitement – come to a Cincinnati Cyclones game at the Heritage Bank Center.
